Al-Malik Al-Quddoos

Laa ilaaha illalLaah,
Subhaana LMalik AlQuddoos.
Al Malik in English is translated as The King. AlQuddoos translated in English is The Holy One. Al, which precedes -Malik and -Quddoos is The in Arabic, and signifies, the definite article. Thus Malik only becomes definite on its own when Al is prefixed. Thus Al-Malik, is The King. Al-Quddoos, is The Holy, Quddoos being the hyperbole of the word Quds, which means holy. The AlQuddoos follows The Al-Malik.

In Arabic, the adjective follows the noun. Thus Al Malik is the noun and Al Quddoos is the adjective. Here in these combinations, the one word clarifies the other. Thus when Allah is refered to as  Al Malik, He is also refered to as Alquddoos. Thus only Allah is Al Malik and AlQuddoos. The entire combination for The Ganjul Arsh is Laa ilaaha illaaLLaah, SubhaanaL-Malik Al Quddoos.
